Swipe Quiz

Learn how to create and customize the Swipe Quiz mini-game in Fastory, where your audience answers your questions by swiping cards right or left.

The Swipe Quiz is a mini-game that invites your audience to answer your questions by swiping cards right or left. Fun and easy to pick up, it turns a classic quiz into a true gaming experience.

What is it for?

The Swipe Quiz lets you challenge your audience in a fun way. Each participant swipes your cards right or left to answer the question you have prepared beforehand. It is an ideal format to animate a campaign, test your players' knowledge and create an engaging game moment within your experience.

Create your Swipe Quiz

Once the add-on is enabled, you can create your Swipe Quiz in a few steps:

  1. Choose the Microsite format.
  1. Add a new screen in the timeline of your experience.
  1. Select Swipe Quiz.

Your audience will then swipe right or left to answer the question you have set.

The three stages of the game

The Swipe Quiz unfolds in three stages: the intro, the game and the result (win or lose).

  • Intro: the welcome screen of the game, where you present the goal of the game and the prizes.
  • Game: the game screen, where your audience swipes the cards.
  • Win or lose: the end screen, where you thank the participants and redirect them to the next screen of your experience.

Customize the style and settings

You can customize your cards by adding images and checking the right answers. You can also adjust:

  • the game duration;
  • the images displayed to show the player a right or wrong answer;
  • the colors.

Recommended image formats

  • Cards: 600 x 800 px
  • Right or wrong answer icons: 512 x 512 px

Time trial option

When you enable the Time trial option, there are no more right or wrong answers. The goal of the game then becomes swiping the cards as fast as possible before the time runs out.

Best practices

  • Follow the recommended image formats (600 x 800 px for cards, 512 x 512 px for icons) to get a sharp result on all screens.
  • Write short, clear questions: the swipe principle works best with simple answers.
  • Take care of the intro screen to clearly present the goal of the game and the prizes before players start.
  • Adjust the game duration to the number of cards to keep a dynamic pace.
  • Customize the colors and the right or wrong answer icons to match your brand.
  • Use the end screen to thank the participants and redirect them to the rest of your experience.

Concrete use cases

If you want to test your audience's knowledge

Use the classic mode and check the right answers on each card. Your players confirm their answer by swiping, and the end screen tells them whether they have won or lost.

If you want to create a fast-paced challenge

Enable the Time trial option: there are no more right or wrong answers, all that matters is swiping all the cards quickly before the time runs out.

If you want to extend the experience

Use the end screen to thank the participants and redirect them to the next screen of your experience, for example to present an offer or collect their contact details.
