How to create an automatic prize draw? – Fastory

The prize draw lets your participants win one or more gifts. Winners are selected at random at the end of your contest, from among all the people who signed up.

What is it for?

Unlike the Instant Win (immediate result), the prize draw designates the winners once the contest is over, from among all the participants. It is the right format when you want to collect as many sign-ups as possible and then reward a few winners afterwards.

Step 1: set up the prizes

From your workspace, go to Experiences then Prizes, and click + Prizes.

Fill in the title, quantity, and image (description optional), then click Confirm.

Add as many prizes as you want: this tab is your "prize basket".

Step 2: set up the contest

Go to the Contests tab, click + Contest, then Prize draw.

In the Set up your prize draw window, choose the contest title.

Assign the prizes of your choice to the contest.

Step 3: insert the prize draw into the Bot

The Bot lets the user sign up; the draw will take place among all the people who provided their contact details.

In the Bot, add the Prize draw question, asking for the email before this question.

Select your contest in the dropdown menu (it must be in Ready mode).

Click Save, then Publish.

Step 4: designate the winners

Go to Experience then Contests.

Click Designate the winners: the prize draw closes.

Download the CSV file with the winners' contact details.

The draw covers all participants: scores are not taken into account.

Best practices

Ask for the email before the Prize draw question in the Bot so the sign-up is valid.

Check that your contest is in Ready mode before publishing.

Communicate the end date: winners are only designated after the contest closes.

Through the Bot: they fill in their contact details (the email is requested before the Prize draw question), which enters them into the draw.

When you click Designate the winners from the Contests tab: the draw then closes and the winners are selected.

How do I retrieve the winners' contact details?

After the designation, download the winners' CSV file from the Contests tab.
