How to use the podium?
Learn how to add the podium to your Fastory experience, configure its settings, and connect it to your Bot so players can see their score and ranking at the end of a game.
The podium displays the participant leaderboard and highlights the best scores achieved at the end of a game. Here is how to add it to your experience, configure it, and connect it to your Bot from the Fastory Studio.
What is it for?
The podium lets every participant see where their performance stands and keeps the competitive spirit going.
- It shows the player's ranking compared to the other participants.
- It reveals the score achieved at the end of a game.
- It shows players whether they are in the top 3 best scores.
Note: the selfie contest and vote contest games cannot include a podium, as no score is associated with these two mechanics.
Add the podium to your experience
Once you have chosen your game, add the podium to one of the end-of-game screens.
- From the Studio, open the Lose screen and/or the Win screen.
- Click the + button.
- Select Podium.
The podium can also be displayed on the intro screen of your experience, before the player even starts playing.
Configure the podium
Once the podium is added, adjust its settings:
- Show Podium: displays the best players.
- Number of items: choose to display the top 3, 5, or 10 players.
- Linked game: select the game of your experience associated with the podium.
- Text to display when there is no score: enter a message that is shown as long as no participation or score has been recorded yet.
Add the podium question to the Bot
For the podium to become visible at the end of a game, whether won or lost, its question must appear in your Bot.
- Click the attribute.
- Add a question of the type What is your nickname? It records the participant's score and allows it to be displayed in the podium.
- Save, then Publish.
With Google login
Another option saves you from asking the nickname question manually: signing in with a Google account. It saves time for participants, who no longer need to type their nickname by hand. To enable it, see the article How to add a Google Login to the Bot of your experience?
Start the game
Once the experience is live, participants can start playing. Whether they win or lose, they can enter their nickname in the Bot question at the end of the game and see their score and their ranking appear in the podium.
Best practices
- Check that the game selected in Linked game matches the game of your experience.
- Always add the What is your nickname? question to the Bot: without it, scores cannot be displayed.
- Fill in a Text to display when there is no score so the podium stays clear before the first participations.
- Offer Google sign-in to shorten the journey and avoid manual nickname entry.
- Display the podium on the intro screen to make players want to beat the best scores right from the start.
- Remember to Save then Publish after every change.
Concrete use cases
If you want to reward the best players
Add the podium to the Win screen and display the top 3. Every winner immediately sees their position and score, which reinforces the feeling of achievement.
If you want to boost replayability
Display the podium on the intro screen with the top 10 players. Participants see the scores to beat as soon as they arrive and are encouraged to try again.
If you want to simplify participation
Enable Google sign-in for your Bot: participants just need to sign in, their nickname is picked up automatically, and their score is recorded without any manual entry.

Which games cannot display a podium?
The selfie contest and vote contest games do not support a podium, as no score is associated with these two mechanics in Fastory.
How many players can the podium display?
