Getting started with Fanzone
Quests
Learn how to create quests in your Fastory Fanzone: link experiences into missions with objectives, choose chronological or free order, and keep fans engaged all season long.
Quests turn your Fastory experiences into a true game journey for your fans. Each season includes one quest, which is made up of one or more steps, and each step can group as many missions as you like.
What is it for?
A quest links several Fastory experiences together to create an engaging journey, season after season. Each experience becomes a mission with an objective to reach: play a game, achieve a score, earn stars, or simply visit the experience.
You decide whether missions must be completed in chronological order or freely. This gives you full control over the pace of the journey and how your fans progress.
How do I create a quest?
- Start by creating your season. To do this, see the Seasons article.
- Then create the quest: add a title and choose whether or not missions must be completed in chronological order.
- Add your missions to the quest.
- For each mission, enter a title and a description.
- Select the action the fan must perform (see the available objectives below).
- Select the experience linked to the mission.
- Click Publish to put your quest live.
- Open your Fanzone editor and add the Quests Block.
Mission objectives
For each mission, you choose the action the fan must complete. Four objectives are available:
- Play a game
- Reach a specific score
- Earn a certain number of stars
- Simply visit the experience
Best practices
- Choose chronological order to guide your fans step by step, or free order to let them choose their own path.
- Give each mission a clear title and description so the fan immediately understands what is expected.
- Vary the objectives from one mission to the next to pace the quest and keep engagement high.
- Always remember to publish your quest: without publishing, it will not be visible online.
- Make sure the Quests Block is present in your Fanzone editor so the journey is accessible to fans.
Concrete use cases
If you want to guide your fans step by step
Enable chronological order and chain your missions in a logical progression. Fans will have to complete each mission before moving on to the next, creating a structured journey from start to finish.
If you want to give your fans free rein
Disable chronological order. Fans then choose missions in whatever order they prefer, which is ideal for a catalog of experiences that everyone explores at their own pace.
If you want to reward performance
Assign score or star objectives to your missions. The fan only completes the mission by reaching the threshold you set, which rewards your most dedicated players.
If you want to create a treasure hunt
Combine several missions into a journey that unlocks progressively. For inspiration, check out the FIA WEC use case.
