Prepare your graphic assets

Before configuring your game, prepare the visuals that will bring the wheel to life. Good news: our templates already include default graphic assets, which you can use as they are or replace with your own.

For a fully customized wheel, plan for:

a vertical video (9/16) of the wheel spinning,

a zoomed-in GIF of the wheel spinning in a loop (560 x 420 px),

a GIF of the wheel with a "?" spinning in a loop,

a GIF of the wheel stopping on "You win" or on a gift segment.

Important note: do not use a transparent background for any of the GIFs. If you want a result with no visible background, apply a gray background with the color EDEFF2.

How does it work?

1. Choose the fortune wheel template

From your Fastory workspace, create an experience made up of one or more content screens and a bot. For this step, see the article How to create and set up my bot?

Select the fortune wheel template.

2. Create the content screen

Add a Cover component and import your 9/16 video of the wheel.

Add a bot button that triggers the game (for example "🎡 Spin the wheel!").

Link this button to your bot sequence, then check the fixed position when scrolling option.

3. Configure the bot

Customize the bot welcome with your own messages.

Add the email question to collect leads.

(Optional) Add a single-choice question to reinforce the "I'm spinning the wheel" effect, displaying the zoomed-in GIF of the wheel.

Add the Instant Win question with the "?" GIF of the wheel.

Then go to the Messages tab:

Winning message: congratulate the player and add the "You win" GIF or an image of the prize.

Losing message: customize the text (for example "Too bad, try again soon!") and insert a matching GIF.

4. Set up the prizes

Go to the Prizes tab (see the article How to create prizes?).

Create your prizes by giving them a name and a quantity.

For the prize image, choose either the GIF of the wheel stopped on a gift segment, or a photo of the prize (voucher, goodies, match tickets...).

5. Create the Instant Win contest

In the Contests tab, create an Instant Win (see the article How to create an Instant Win?).

Assign your prizes.

Set the dates and spread your prizes across the entire duration of the operation.

Confirm.

6. Link the contest to the bot

Go back to the bot and connect the Instant Win question to your contest.
