Getting started with Fanzone

The YouTube Block

Learn how to embed a single YouTube video or a channel or playlist carousel in your Fanzone with the YouTube Block, including autoplay, display formats, and a subscribe button.

The YouTube Block lets you display YouTube content in your Fanzone. You can embed a single video or a carousel of videos from a channel or a playlist.

What is it for?

The YouTube Block connects your YouTube presence to your Fanzone. Your fans watch your videos without leaving the page.

You simply paste a URL. The Block detects whether it is a video, a channel or a playlist, and adjusts the display on its own.

It is an easy way to highlight your latest content, your key moments or your Shorts, while inviting fans to subscribe.

Add a YouTube Block

  1. Open your Fanzone in the back office.
  1. Click Add a Block.
  1. Select the YouTube Block.
  1. Paste the URL of a video, a channel or a playlist in the URL field.
  1. Adjust the display options and the subscribe button.

Main features

Single video

Paste the link of a YouTube video to display it on its own in your Fanzone. The video is embedded in a YouTube player and fans can watch it directly on the page.

Standard video links, Shorts links and short URLs are recognized automatically.

Channel or playlist carousel

Paste the URL of a channel or a playlist to fetch several videos at once and display them as a carousel.

You choose how many videos to fetch: 4, 8, 16 or 24. You can then select which ones stay visible in the carousel.

A Refresh button updates the list with the most recent videos from the channel or playlist.

Muted autoplay

Enable Autoplay to start the video as soon as it becomes visible. As with any autoplay, the video starts without sound.

In carousel mode, autoplay only applies to the first video. The other videos start when a fan clicks their thumbnail.

Format and size

Choose the display format: 1:1, 9:16, 16:9 or 4:3. If you paste a Shorts URL, the vertical 9:16 format is applied automatically.

In carousel mode, you also set the thumbnail size with small, medium or large, and you can show or hide the pagination.

Subscribe button

Add a subscribe button to invite fans to join your channel. Its link automatically uses the YouTube URL you entered.

Best practices

  • Use a single video to highlight a strong piece of content, and a channel or playlist to show several videos.
  • Add the subscribe button to turn views into subscribers.
  • Review the selection of visible videos to keep only your best content in the carousel.
  • Refresh the list regularly to display your most recent posts.
  • For Shorts, keep the vertical format that is applied automatically.

Concrete use cases

If you want to highlight your latest video, embed it on its own

Paste the video link, enable muted autoplay and add a subscribe button. Your fans watch the video, then join your channel in one click.

If you want to show several pieces of content, use the channel carousel

Paste your channel URL, choose the number of videos and select which ones to display. The carousel showcases your videos and fans play the one they are interested in.
