Predictor MMA – Fastory

The Predictor MMA Block invites your fans to predict the outcome of MMA fights directly from your Fanzone: winner, method of victory, finishing round, and more. An ideal format to energize your community before a UFC, PFL, or Bellator night.

What is it for?

The Predictor MMA Block turns every fight into an engagement moment. Your fans browse the fights on your card, answer a series of prediction questions, then come back after the event to discover their results.

Each correct answer earns stars and points that feed your Fanzone's Leaderboard. It is a great lever to build audience loyalty, spark discussion before a fight, and encourage your fans to come back regularly.

You can follow a fighter to automatically retrieve their upcoming fights, or create your own fight cards manually when the event is not covered by the automatic feed.

Add the Predictor MMA Block to your Fanzone

Open your Fanzone editor.

Add a new Block and choose Predictor MMA.

Click the Block to open its configuration panel.

Add fights

You have two ways to populate your Predictor MMA.

Follow a fighter

In the search field, type a fighter's name. The placeholder reads Add a fighter's name...

Select the fighter from the results.

Their upcoming fights are retrieved automatically, with both fighters' photos and the competition.

If no fight is scheduled, an No upcoming event message appears on the fighter's card.

Create a fight manually

When an event is not available in the automatic feed, create your own fight card:

Click Add a fight manually.

In the Manual fight entry window, fill in:

the Competition (for example UFC 300, PFL, Bellator) with its logo;

the Fighter's name and photo;

the Opponent's name and photo;

the Fight date and time.

Click Add the fight.

You can edit a manual fight at any time via Edit the fight. By repeating the operation, you build a complete card with several fights: your fans go through them one after another.

Generate the prediction questions

Once your fighters are followed or your fights created, click Generate the predictions. Questions are generated automatically for each upcoming fight.

Five questions are available per fight:

A few useful details:

The winner question is always active: it is the prediction's main question. In MMA, there is no draw option.

The other questions are disabled by default. Enable them via the Edit button of each fight, in the Additional questions selection section.

The first takedown and first submission questions are available only for manually created fights, because their result is entered by hand.

Configure each fight

Each fight card has its own settings:

Edit: rename the prediction, enable or disable questions, and adjust the dates. The Predictions opening date is From publication by default, and the Predictions closing date is set by default to 10 minutes before the fight starts.

Hide / Show: control the fight's visibility on the fan side. The fight's status is displayed as a badge: Live, Draft, or Finished.

Swap fighters: switch the display order of the two fighters.

Manage odds: enter or adjust the fight's odds, used for display and bonus calculation.

Block settings

In the Block settings, two options round out the experience:

Timer: enable Show the timer to add a countdown per question. The Timer duration (seconds) is set between 5 and 300 seconds.

Post-completion action: choose what happens when a fan finishes their predictions: None, Open the login modal, or Open a bot sequence.

The fan-side experience

On the Fanzone side, each fight is displayed as a card with the competition, the date, and both fighters' photos.

The fan answers the first question by tapping their answer directly: the fighter's photo for the winner, or one of the offered choices for the method and the round.

The questions chain automatically, then the next fight appears.

At the end, a Save your entry screen invites the fan to sign in to record their predictions, followed by the Thank you for taking part! message.

Only the predictions of signed-in fans are counted for scoring and the Leaderboard.

Enter the results and trigger scoring

For fights from the automatic feed, results are retrieved and scoring is triggered automatically when the fight is over.

For manually created fights, enter the results yourself:

Once the fight is over, click Results on the fight's card.

In the Results and scoring window, enter the correct answer for each question: the winner, the method (KO/TKO, Submission, Decision), the round, and, where applicable, the first takedown and the first submission.

Click Score.

Good to know: if the fight's result specifies a unanimous, split, or majority decision, all fans who predicted Decision are counted as winners.

The fight then moves to the Finished status and entries are evaluated.

Stars and points

Each scored entry earns stars, which feed the Fanzone's progression and Leaderboard:

Underdog bonus: correct winner with odds of 3.0 or more	+1 star

Points are also awarded: a correct winner earns points proportional to their odds (with an extra bonus for high odds), and each other correct answer earns 50 points.

Track performance in Analytics

Your Fanzone's Analytics tab contains a dedicated Predictor MMA tab. You can analyze All predictions or select a specific fight.

The statistics are organized into several sections:

Conversion funnel	From unique participants to completed email sign-ups, with the overall completion rate
Participation breakdown	How many times each participant played over the period
New vs returning	The share of new participants versus returning ones and the recurrence rate
Participant retention	The share of signed-up participants who come back at D+7, D+30, D+90, and D+180
Acquisition sources	The channels that brought participants to the prediction game

Loyalty statistics (breakdown, retention, new vs returning) are available at the game level: select All predictions to display them. On a specific fight, they are hidden because they would not be representative.

Best practices

Create your fight card several days before the event and announce the opening of predictions on your social media.

Enable 2 to 3 questions per fight for a good balance between depth and speed: winner, method, and round form an effective trio.

Enter the fights' odds: they enrich the display and reward fans who dare to predict an underdog.

For manual fights, enter the results quickly after the event: fans are waiting for their stars.

Use good fighter photos for your manual fights: it is the first thing your fans see.

Pair the Predictor MMA with rewards via the Leaderboard to encourage participation across a whole season.

Concrete use cases

If you want to energize a UFC night, create the full card manually

Create each fight of the card with Add a fight manually, enable the winner and method questions, then share your Fanzone link before the event. After the night, enter the results fight by fight and let the Leaderboard reveal the best predictor.

If you follow a star fighter, let the automatic feed do the work

Search for the fighter in the Block: their upcoming fights arrive automatically with photos and competition, and scoring triggers on its own at the end of the fight.

If you want to convert visitors into sign-ups, enable the post-completion action

Set Open the login modal at the end of the prediction: fans engaged by the game are invited to create their account to save their entry, and you track the conversion in the Analytics Conversion funnel.

Is a Decision prediction correct if the fight ends in a split decision?
