Getting started with Fanzone
Ranks in your Fanzone
Learn how ranks work in your Fastory Fanzone: season-based status tiers that reward fan loyalty and unlock exclusive games, contests, and rewards.
Ranks are a gamification layer that reflects a fan's status and engagement throughout the season. While levels measure fine-grained progression, ranks mark major status milestones, designed to reward loyalty and unlock exclusive content.
What are ranks for?
Ranks give your fans a clear and rewarding status goal. They create a sense of belonging (reaching a high rank means showing off your loyalty) and let you make access to certain content merit-based.
How many ranks per season?
A season includes between 3 and 5 ranks, depending on its duration:
- a season lasting 1 to 3 months can include 3 ranks;
- a longer season can include up to 5 ranks.
The longer the season, the more ranks are activated to ensure continuous progression. Ranks are reset at the start of each new season (by default, twice a year).
Customize your ranks
Fastory provides a default scale: 🥉 Bronze, 🥈 Silver, 🥇 Gold, 💠 Platinum, 💎 Diamond. Each rank is fully customizable:
- its name (for example Rookie, Legend, Captain);
- its color;
- its icon or badge design.
Everything is configured from the Style tab in the season configuration panel.
What can ranks unlock?
Ranks gate access to content and create status-based incentives:
- access to new games;
- access to advanced rewards or special editions;
- access to exclusive contests;
- cosmetic unlocks (badges, avatars, effects);
- highlighting on the leaderboard or the fan profile;
- reward shop segmentation by rank.
These unlocks are configured from the Shop tab in the season configuration panel.
Best practices
- Match the number of ranks to the season length: 3 ranks for a short season, up to 5 for a long one.
- Save your best rewards for the highest ranks to give progression real meaning.
- Combine visual progression with unlockable content (badges + exclusive games) to make the journey rewarding and addictive.
Concrete use cases
If you want to build loyalty with your most dedicated fans
Reserve an exclusive contest or a special reward edition for the highest rank: only your most engaged fans will get access.
If you want to create a VIP club
Customize rank names to match your universe (for example Supporter, Ultra, Legend) and segment your reward shop to offer a premium experience to the higher ranks.
