Getting started with Fanzone

Options shared by all Blocks

Learn how to use the options shared by all Fanzone Blocks: background color and image, margins, responsive display, scheduling, and fan visibility.

All Blocks in the Fanzone share a set of common options. They let you harmonize the presentation and control when and where each Block appears.

What is it for?

These settings help you give your entire Fanzone a consistent look, whatever the Block type.

They also let you adapt the display to each device and schedule content to appear at the right moment.

You will find most of them in the Style tab of each Block.

Access the shared options

  1. Open your Fanzone in the back office.
  1. Select the Block you want to edit.
  1. Open the Style tab for appearance.
  1. Use the visibility and scheduling settings for behavior.

Block appearance: the Style tab

Background color and image

You can apply a background color or a background image to a Block. A dedicated button lets you remove the background at any time.

Margins and spacing

Three settings control the space around and inside the Block:

  • Margin: the space around the Block, on all four sides;
  • Padding: the inner space, between the content and the edges of the Block;
  • Radius: the rounding of the Block's corners.

Each value can be set side by side, or uniformly.

Responsive display

You can choose which devices a Block appears on.

Two display options are available:

  • show or hide the Block on mobile;
  • show or hide the Block on desktop.

This lets you, for example, reserve some content for mobile screens or keep the desktop version simpler.

Advanced Block options: the Settings tab

Display scheduling

Scheduling lets you program when a Block appears.

Once enabled, you can:

  • set an opening date and time;
  • set a closing date and time;
  • display a countdown;
  • place the countdown at the top or bottom of the Block.

This option is useful for time-limited activations, such as a contest or an offer. Its availability may depend on your plan.

Visibility by fan status

When fan login is enabled on your Fanzone, you can adjust who a Block is shown to:

  • show it to everyone;
  • show it to non-logged-in visitors.

This helps you reserve certain content for identified fans.

Best practices

  • Keep a background color consistent with your Fanzone's overall theme.
  • Use margins to give your page breathing room rather than stacking Blocks.
  • Always test the result on mobile and desktop before publishing.
  • Remember to remove the scheduling once the operation is over so the Block does not stay hidden.

Concrete use cases

If you want time-limited content, enable scheduling

Schedule a game Block to open on match day, with a countdown to build anticipation.

If you want to tailor the mobile experience, hide certain Blocks on desktop

Reserve a Block designed for mobile to that display only, to keep a cleaner desktop version.
