The Basic Blocks: Text and Image – Fastory

The Text and Image Blocks are the simplest content bricks of your Fanzone. They let you add written text and visuals in just a few clicks.

What is it for?

The Text Block helps you communicate directly with your audience: an introduction, a welcome message, an announcement, legal notices, or context around an activation.

The Image Block showcases a visual: an event poster, a team photo, a campaign visual, or a banner. You can also turn the image into a clickable button that leads to a link of your choice.

Together, these two Blocks cover most of your editorial needs and serve as the foundation of all your pages.

Add a Block

Open your Fanzone in the back office.

Click Add to open the list of Blocks.

Blocks are grouped by category: Navigation, Gamification, Content, Media, Commerce.

Select Text or Image in the Content category.

Configure the content, then adjust the appearance in the Style tab.

The Text Block

The Text Block uses a rich text editor.

You can:

type and format your text;

structure your message with headings and paragraphs;

apply the formatting available in the editor.

The text automatically uses the fonts defined in your Fanzone theme, so it stays consistent with the rest of the page.

If the Block contains no text, it does not appear on the page.

The Image Block

Add your visual

Upload an image from your computer or enter the URL of an online image.

If needed, add a description below the image, also in rich text.

Choose the display format with the ratio setting: 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, or 4:3.

Make the image clickable

You can add an action button to your image. When clicked, it redirects to the destination of your choice:

a website or an external link;

a social network;

another tab of your Fanzone;

a conversation sequence or a signup.

A link icon appears on the image when an action is attached.

Position the text

The Image Block offers several layouts for the description:

below the image;

above the image;

to the left or right of the image;

as an overlay, with customizable alignment.

Best practices

Keep your texts short and easy to read on mobile: most fans visit the Fanzone from their phone.

Use sharp, well-framed images suited to the chosen ratio.

Only add a button to an image if the click brings real value to the fan.

Alternate Text and Image Blocks to give your page rhythm and avoid long, uniform sections.
