Spinner

Create a 3D wheel of fortune (Spinner): game flow, prizes, and customization.

The Spinner is a true 3D wheel of fortune that builds suspense before revealing a reward. Your participants spin the wheel, wait a few seconds, then find out whether they have won.

What is it for?

The Spinner is perfect for creating a simple, visual, addictive game moment. The wheel spins in 3D, gradually slows down, and stops on a winning or losing segment.

It is a great format for distributing prizes at an event, energizing a highlight on social media, or rewarding your fans in a fun way. The gesture is immediate: you spin the wheel and hold your breath.

Do not confuse the Spinner with the Instant Win: Wheel add-on. The Spinner is a mini-game your participants launch themselves, while the Instant Win: Wheel automatically reveals a prize within an Instant Win mechanic.

Create a Spinner

Once the add-on is enabled, you can add the Spinner to your experience:

  1. Open your experience in the Microsite format.
  1. Add a new screen in the timeline.
  1. Choose Spinner from the game catalog.

How does the game work?

The Spinner unfolds in several stages:

  1. Intro: the welcome screen, where you present the goal of the game and the prizes to be won. This screen is optional.
  1. Game: the participant spins the wheel with a simple gesture, then a countdown runs while the wheel slows down.
  1. Win or lose: the result screen, which reveals the reward won or invites the participant to try again, then redirects to the rest of your experience.

You can also enable the wheel's automatic launch if you prefer a flow without interaction.

Configure the prizes

The wheel can hold up to eight winning segments and one losing segment.

For each segment, you define:

  • the prize's name;
  • the associated image;
  • the winning or losing status;
  • the segment's color.

You choose how the prize is displayed to the participant: image and text, image only, or text only. You can also reveal the reward as a QR code or a barcode, which is handy for on-site pickup.

Customize the appearance

The Spinner is fully customizable in your brand colors:

  • the wheel's colors: structure, decoration, stand, and each segment;
  • a logo displayed at the center of the wheel;
  • the background image and color;
  • the launch button's text;
  • whether the arrow, the wheel's stand, and the spin text are displayed;
  • the game sounds: spin, swipe, victory, defeat, and countdown;
  • the victory animation: confetti, applause, or no animation;
  • the countdown duration.

Best practices

  • Limit the number of visible prizes to keep the wheel readable and the suspense effective.
  • Use high-contrast prize images so they remain recognizable once on the wheel.
  • Attach rules to your game if you distribute prizes subject to regulations.
  • Enable the QR code or barcode display if your participants must pick up their reward at a booth or in a store.

Concrete use cases

If you want to energize a booth at an event

If you want to reward your online community

Share the experience's link on your social channels. Your fans spin the wheel from their phone and instantly discover their reward.
