The theme determines the layout options of your experience and applies your brand's visual identity to your game. Fastory provides a gallery of themes you can use as they are or customize entirely. This article explains how to adapt an existing theme and create your own.

What is it for?

A theme brings together all the visual choices of your experience: layout, fonts, colors, button corners, and much more. It lets you dress your game in your brand colors without starting from scratch every time.

You start from a theme in the gallery, adjust it to match your identity, then reuse it on as many experiences as you like to ensure visual consistency.

How does it work?

Open the theme gallery. You can filter themes by industry to find a relevant starting point faster.

Select the theme you like best, then click Edit theme.

Rename the theme. You will then find it in the My themes tab.

Edit the elements of your choice: fonts, text sizes, background colors, button corners, and many other settings.

Save your theme. It can then be applied to several of your experiences.

Customize the Styles

A theme is made up of several Styles that you can adjust independently. You can create as many new Styles as you like to cover every element of your experience.

If you need to go further, an Advanced option is available on each Style. It lets you fine-tune colors, shadows, borders, margins, animations, and other settings.

Use your own fonts

You can upload your own fonts directly to the theme you are customizing. The upload area is located at the end of the theme, just below the Styles. Your brand fonts are then applied across the entire experience.

Best practices

Before editing a theme that is already in use, duplicate it. Editing a theme changes all the experiences where it is used.

Give each custom theme a clear name so you can easily spot it in the My themes tab.

Reuse the same theme across several experiences to keep a consistent visual identity.

Upload your brand fonts so that all your text follows your brand guidelines.

Filter themes by industry to start from a base suited to your brand universe.

If you want to apply your brand identity to a game

Select a theme from the gallery close to your brand universe, click Edit theme, then adjust the colors, fonts, and buttons to reflect your brand. You quickly get an experience in your brand colors.

Create a custom theme once, rename it, then apply it to each of your new experiences. All your activations then share the same visual identity.
