Contests & Prizes

How to create prizes?

Learn how to create simple prizes and unique-code prizes on Fastory, prepare your CSV code files, and assign your rewards to Instant Wins and prize draws.

Prizes are the rewards you put at stake in your contests. Before launching a prize draw or an Instant Win, you first need to set them up on your Fastory account.

What is it for?

Prizes centralize all the rewards your participants can win (gifts, promo codes, gift cards). You create them once, then assign them to the contest of your choice. Two formats exist: the simple prize and the prize with unique codes (a different code for each winner).

Create a simple prize

  1. Go to the Prizes tab and click + Prizes at the top right.
  1. Give your prize a title and choose a media to illustrate it. Both are visible to users during an Instant Win. Recommended media dimensions: 800 x 600 px.
  1. Add a description (optional).
  1. Choose the quantity of rewards to give away.
  1. Click Confirm: the prize appears in the list.

Create as many prizes as you have different rewards to distribute.

Create a prize with unique codes

This format requires the corresponding option to be enabled on your account. It distributes a different code to each winner (gift card, discount coupon).

  1. In the Prizes tab, click + Prizes.
  1. Give it a title and choose a media (800 x 600 px), plus an optional description.
  1. Click Unique codes and import your CSV file of codes.
  1. Click Confirm.

Rules for the CSV file: keep the raw data (no formatting), no header row, a single column containing the codes.

Best practices

  • Choose an attractive title and visual: they are displayed to the winners of an Instant Win.
  • Prepare all your prizes before creating the contest so you can assign them in one go.
  • Check your unique codes file (one column, no header) before importing to avoid errors.

Concrete use cases

If you distribute a single reward in quantity

Create a simple prize with the total quantity of identical rewards to give away.

If you distribute personal promo codes

Create a unique-codes prize and import your CSV file: each winner receives their own code.
