Audience & CRM
👥 Explore your Audience: Fastory's CRM
Learn how Fastory's Audience page centralizes every contact collected by your games, bots, and Fanzone experiences, and how to filter, segment, and export them for your marketing campaigns.
Every game, campaign, or Fanzone experience you launch collects valuable data about your participants. The Audience page brings it all together: it is Fastory's native CRM, designed to find, filter, and activate your contacts without any external tool.
What is it for?
The Audience page gathers all the visitors who have interacted with your experiences: games, quizzes, Instant Wins, qualification bots, Fanzone. For each contact, you can see their identity, their opt-ins, their answers to the bot's questions, and their participation history.
It helps you answer concrete questions: Who took part in my latest campaign? How many contacts opted in to my newsletter? Which fans made predictions on my Bracket? What data did my bot collect?
You can then activate this audience: CSV export, automatic synchronization to your server, marketing follow-ups, or analysis in your own tools.
Access the feature
- Log in to your Fastory workspace.
- Click Audience in the navigation menu.
- Two tabs appear: Users and Segments.
The Audience page requires the Audience add-on. Creating custom segments requires the Audience: Segments add-on. Access also depends on your role in the workspace: contact your administrator if you cannot open the page.
Main features
The Users tab: all your contacts in one table
The Users tab automatically displays the All users segment of your workspace, with the total number of contacts at the top of the page.
The table reads column by column:
Column | What it shows |
Profile | The profile completion percentage based on the displayed columns |
Last Participation | The date and time of the contact's last activity |
Attributes | The collected answers: email, first name, last name, phone, custom bot questions |
Opt-ins | A check mark if the contact accepted the opt-in, a cross otherwise |
UTMs | The source, medium, campaign, or content the contact came from |
Game scores | The scores earned game by game: quiz, voting contest, racing game, etc. |
Fanzone connected | Shows whether the contact logged in with a Fanzone account |
The Segments tab: Create saved segments
Search and filter your contacts
Several tools combine to help you target precisely:
- The Search bar filters contacts by their value, for example an email or a first name.
- The date selector limits the view to a period: last hour, today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days, this month, or a custom period.
- The Attributes filter only shows the contacts who have the selected attribute or opt-in, for example all contacts with an email.
- The UTM columns offer their own filter to isolate a specific source or campaign.
Choose the displayed columns
Click the column settings button to open the Choose the columns to display window. There you can enable or disable:
- Attributes (email, first name, custom bot questions...)
- Opt-ins
- Game scores, game by game
- UTMs
- User agent (the browser and device used)
The Regenerate columns button recalculates the available columns, which is useful if you have just added a question to your bot. The Refresh button reloads the table data.
View a participant's record
Click a contact in the User column to open their record. It contains two tabs:
- Info: the contact's identity (first name, last name, nickname, email), their opt-ins, and all their attributes. You can correct the identity fields and then click Save. The Delete this contact button permanently erases the contact and all their data.
- Games: the full participation history, game by game, with the date, the score, the quiz answers, the votes, or the selfie entries depending on the game type.
How to create segments?
A segment is a saved filter you can reuse for your analyses and exports. From the Segments tab:
- Click Segment at the top right.
- Give the segment a title in the Create a new segment window.
- Choose the Experiences and Bots to include. By default, all linked experiences and bots are taken into account.
- Click Create.
The combination of filters changes who is included in the segment:
- An experience alone returns all its participants.
- A bot alone returns everyone who filled in at least one piece of information in that bot.
- An experience combined with a bot returns only the people who played the game and filled in the bot.
Fanzone segments: Predictor, Bracket, Starting XI
If your workspace has Fanzone sports experiences or Instant Wins (Predictor, Bracket, Starting XI, fortune wheel...), a segment type selector appears in the creation window. Choose Fanzone and then select the relevant components: you get a segment containing only the fans who played these experiences, with their predictions visible in the table columns.
Each segment in the Segments table shows its name, its experiences, its bots, its number of users, and its last update. You can edit or delete a segment at any time: deleting a segment does not delete the contacts, only the saved filter.
Best practices
- Create one segment per campaign as soon as it launches: you can track data collection in real time, and your end-of-campaign export will be ready.
- Display only the columns useful to your analysis: the table stays readable, and the Profile column better reflects the real quality of your data.
- Use the Attributes filter with the email attribute before any export meant for your email marketing tool: you only export contacts you can actually reach.
- Check the opt-ins before any communication campaign: only the contacts who checked the corresponding opt-in can be contacted.
- Name your segments explicitly, for example "2026 back-to-school quiz + newsletter bot", to keep things clear from one campaign to the next.
Concrete use cases
If you want to retrieve the emails collected during a contest, create a dedicated segment
Create a segment with the game experience and the qualification bot, filter on the email attribute, then export the result as a CSV for your CRM tool.
If you want to identify your most engaged fans, combine several experiences
Create a segment covering all the season's experiences and display the Game scores columns: the contacts who appear in several games with good scores are your best candidates for a loyalty campaign.
If you want to measure the impact of an acquisition channel, filter by UTM
Display the UTM columns and filter on the relevant source or campaign: you immediately see how many contacts this channel generated and how qualified they are.
FAQ
Where can I find the contacts collected by my Fastory games and experiences?
All contacts are centralized on the Audience page of your workspace, in the Users tab. Every person who played a game, filled in a bot, or interacted with a Fanzone experience appears there with their data, their opt-ins, and their participation history.
How do I create a segment on the Fastory Audience page?
From the Segments tab, click Segment, give it a name, then choose the experiences and bots to include. The segment saves this filter and updates automatically as new participants come in.
How can I see a participant's answers to my bot or my quiz?
Click the contact in the Audience table to open their record. The Info tab shows their attributes and bot answers, and the Games tab details each of their participations with the associated answers, scores, and votes.
Can I filter my Fastory Audience on the participants of a Bracket or a Predictor?
Yes, if your workspace has Fanzone sports experiences. When creating a segment, choose the Fanzone type and then select the relevant components (Bracket, Predictor, Starting XI...). The segment will only contain the fans who played these experiences.
Why do some contacts have a profile completion below 100%?
The Profile column compares the attributes filled in by the contact with the columns you display. A contact who played without filling in the bot, or who abandoned the form midway, will have a partially completed profile. It is a good indicator of the quality of your data collection.
Is the Audience page included in my Fastory subscription?
The Audience page is linked to the Audience add-on, and the creation of custom segments to the Audience: Segments add-on. If the page shows a presentation screen instead of your contacts, reach out to your Fastory contact to activate the add-on.
