Bracket

Predict the results of tournament matches, accumulate points and climb the rankings.

The Bracket game allows participants to predict the results of matches in a sports competition and earn stars and points based on the accuracy of their predictions.

Before each match begins, participants must predict the final score. Once the match is over, their predictions are compared with the actual result to automatically calculate their score.

Depending on the configuration chosen for the campaign, participants can be rewarded:

  • for correctly identifying the winner of the match;
  • for finding the exact score;
  • for predicting an outsider when odds are enabled;
  • through phase bonuses that reward consistency and performance across an entire competition round.

The scoring system is fully customizable and can work in two modes:

  1. Points + Odds, which rewards the most difficult predictions more strongly thanks to team odds;
  1. Stars + Points (without odds), a simpler mode that rewards participant accuracy without taking odds into account.

The goal is simple: make the best possible predictions to climb the leaderboard and compete with other participants throughout the competition.

👉 It is possible to predict all matches in a phase or to activate the “Day by day” option. In this mode, predictions open at 00:00 on the day of the match and close 15 minutes before kick-off.

Tracking Bracket performance

Once the Bracket is live, an Analytics tab allows you to track the game’s performance and better understand participant engagement.

Statistics are organized into several views:

  • List: allows you to find the different Brackets in the workspace with their number of participants;
  • Overview: gives a global view of Bracket performance;
  • By phase: allows you to analyze results phase by phase;
  • Leaderboard: displays the top participants in the Bracket.

Overview view

The Overview view allows you to check the main Bracket indicators at a glance.

It displays, among other things:

Leaderboard

The Leaderboard displays the top 20 participants in the Bracket.

For each participant, you can view:

  • their rank;
  • their username;
  • their avatar;
  • their total score;
  • their number of stars;
  • their prediction-to-match ratio.

The ranking can also be filtered by phase to identify the best participants for a specific competition round.

How does scoring work?

Scoring rewards participants based on the accuracy of their predictions.

Two calculation modes are available:

  1. Points + Odds
  1. Stars + Points (without odds)

Scoring with Points + Odds

In this mode, participants earn points based on:

  • The predicted winner
  • The exact score
  • Potential outsider bonuses
  • Phase bonuses

Correct winner

The participant must correctly predict the match result:

  • Team A win
  • Team B win
  • Draw

Reward: 100 points × the winner’s odds

Exact score

The participant must predict the exact final score of the match.

Reward: +300 points

This bonus is added to the points earned for the correct winner.

Incorrect winner

If the participant does not predict the correct result:

Reward: 0 points

Even if the predicted score is close to the actual result.

Outsider bonus

The outsider bonus rewards participants who correctly identify an unlikely win.

Condition: The winner must have odds above 3.00

Reward: 100 fixed points + (50 points × the odds)

👤 Understanding participant loyalty

The Analytics tab also helps you better understand whether participants come back to play several times during the competition.

This analysis is based on a simple concept: the activity day.

💡 An activity day is a day when a participant predicted or modified their scores on the Bracket.

If they make several predictions or several changes on the same day, this counts as 1 activity day.

If they come back on another day to predict or adjust their scores, this adds 1 new activity day.

This view is especially useful when the Day by day option is enabled, as it helps measure the Bracket’s ability to bring participants back throughout the competition.

🎯 Participation distribution

This section helps you understand across how many different days participants came back to play.

Participants are grouped into several categories:

Activity days
Reading
1
Participant came on one day only
2-3
Participant came back occasionally
4-5
Participant came back regularly
6+
Highly engaged participant, came back several days during the competition

The section displays both a table and a chart to quickly visualize the share of occasional participants and the share of the most engaged participants.

💡 This statistic takes all participants into account, including anonymous participants.

⏳ Participant retention

Retention measures the share of participants who come back to play after their first participation.

It displays several time markers, for example at D+7, D+10, D+20, D+30, D+90 and D+180.

A participant is considered retained at D+7 if at least 7 days have passed between their first and last activity day.

This view helps you understand whether the Bracket generates only one-time participation or whether it succeeds in bringing participants back over time.

💡 Over a recent period, the last points of the curve may appear lower because some participants have not yet had time to come back. This does not necessarily mean engagement is decreasing.

🆚 New vs returning

This section summarizes participant loyalty into two simple categories:

Category
Definition
New
Participant came on only one activity day
Returning
Participant came back on at least two activity days

It allows you to quickly visualize the share of participants discovering the Bracket and the share of participants who come back to play.

Three views are available:

  • a chart showing the share of new and returning participants;
  • a weekly view;
  • a curve showing the returning rate over time.

This section is useful for tracking engagement quality beyond the simple volume of participants.

Good to know

  • Loyalty statistics are displayed only when the analysis covers the entire Bracket.
  • If a specific match is selected in the filters, these sections are hidden, as loyalty is measured over several days and not on a single match.
  • For example, on an isolated match, most participants will have only one activity day. Return and recurrence indicators would therefore not be very representative.
  • Statistics respect the filters already available in the Analytics tab, such as the selected Bracket and the chosen period.
